Uses:

1. Mainly used in the production of synthetic resins, surfactants and explosives, and also used as antifreeze.

2. Used as analytical reagents, chromatographic analysis reagents and capacitor media.

3. Used in the production of polyester resins, alkyd resins, plasticizers, antifreeze, and also used in cosmetics and explosives.

4. Ethylene glycol is an intermediate for the fungicides pentamethylenetetracycline and benomyl.
